I will often demonstrate methods from class using the web-based software StatCrunch. Please feel free to use it for any of your homework assignments. You can find this at www.statcrunch.stat.ncsu.edu. IMPORTANT: if you leave out the “stat” in that URL, you will go to a StatrCrunch server where you must pay to use it, so remember the “stat” part.
StatCrunch is primarily a teaching tool, but it is quite useful for many basic statistical techniques and graphical displays. Unfortunately it does require internet access to run- there is no way to download and install it.
